"At first, I was skeptical because of the rumors I have heard within the buhurt community that 'indian made armor is poor quality'. But with some reassurance and evidence through other similar reviews, I gave in and bought myself a custom armet. I was not disappointed with the quality, or the customer service-- I was actually really impressed.
Joseph did a great job of keeping me informed of what was going on and provided progress photos of my order whenever I asked. Next thing I know, not more than a month later, my helmet was ready to ship out and I received it within the week it shipped out. The craftsmanship is beautiful-- I most certainly will be wearing this to both renfaire activities and buhurt games. They aren't kidding when they say that their armory is a knights choice with a peasants price."

"I decided to purchase a set of gauntlets from Iron Beetle after Joseph came to train at my gym and I saw the quality of the armour he had with him. Now there has always been a stigma surrounding Indian made armour, especially for full contact fighting, however I decided that in order to really test the quality I needed to put my money where it mattered. The ordering process was simple and payment was easy. The timeframe from order and measurements to the gauntlets arriving at my door was just over 2 weeks!
As someone who makes and repairs armour regularly, the first thing I did was test the hardness of the steel. for 4130 it was spot on between 45 - 50 HRC. The gauntlets have since been used in training, 2 national duelling competitions and 2 buhurt competitions and have hardly any damage in that time. I've been that impressed that I have recommended Iron Beetle to other members of my team and wider community.
If you're unsure I would implore you to give them a try, you won't be disappointed."

I currently have proto-gothic limbs made by Iron Beetle, a local fella' accepted an order that was a tad small for him and resold it without it being used. I was quite impressed and only had to make a few minor modifications to get the armor working well for me (had to move the locking lug for the greaves). I have since worn the arms and legs for various events and tournaments, including War in the North 2025 and couldn't be more pleased. FURTHER, not even being the original buyer, the Joseph was gracious enough to even get me replacement parts (due to a manufacture short-sight that has since been rectified), which speaks novels for the support and what Iron Beetle aims to be. I've been so pleased with the customer service that I'm currently placing my trust in them for a full set of titanium for next year (2026).
